A lot of people ask what kind of chords work well for Ambient music. That varies a lot.
As I research it further, I will post more, but for now here is what I have.

First answer was Major chords.
If you forget the scales and how to read music, here they are:
Some people said the Harmonic Minor chords work well.
Another person suggested chords based on fourth intervals.
I have found that the Dorian mode is useful because it has a hopefulness as well as being a bit negative-sounding with the minor feel it has. In fact, it seems Dorian combines both major and minor modes. That is pleasing to me (and others, I think).
